The Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen was today booed after he started blaming the organisers of the Building Bridges report launch event that took place at the Bomas of Kenya.

Murkomen said the organisers were selective and did not accommodate those who had a divergent opinion referring to the Ruto- affiliated Tanga Tanga MPs whom were not invited at the launch of the BBI report.

‘Your excellency it will be a lie for me to leave this stage without saying that this programme has been skewed to leave other people who have different opinions.’ He said.

The Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator also said that the BBI report launch should not be an event to lecture other leaders and added that the only way to build a honest Kenya was to listen to other people’s opinion.

‘If we are going to build a honest kenya going forward , Your Excellency we must be able to put our views on the ground’

‘If this podium is going to be used to lecture other people and give other people views , then must come out and speak our voices’ He added.

The visibly angry senator also said that the launch of BBI report is a national exercise which is meant to unite the country and end the politics of hatred and division.

‘ I demand the right to be heard and i demand the right for my views to be heard in the Republic of kenya like any other citizen’ The Senate Majority leader said.

The senator’s speech was interrupted and ODM MPs were heard shouting ‘ BBI ‘ throughout in a bid silence Murkomen or force him to leave the stage.

The Deputy President was also angered by Suna East MP Junet Mohamed comments who mentioned the rift between jubilee while welcoming the senate Majority leader to the podium , William Ruto was seen exchanging chitchats with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
