Deputy President William Ruto has on Thursday night denied claims made by some of the leaders saying the DP disrespects the head of state.

In an exclusive interview with NTV, the Deputy President rubbished the allegations saying that it is peddled by the ODM leaders in a bid to create rift between him and President Kenyatta.

” many of the people who are running this narrative, many of them are in NASA, people who have never voted for Uhuru Kenyatta ” said the DP.

The DP further clarified his loyalty to President Kenyatta started way back 1998 before retired President Moi nominated Uhuru Kenyatta to parliament and not only in Jubilee party.

” i knew Uhuru in 1998,1998; even the first time Uhuru Kenyatta come to parliament as a nominated member, the former President Moi send me to Mark Too to resign so that Uhuru Kenyatta can be nominated, and Uhuru knows it” Ruto clarified.

Ruto narrated how he participated in the nomination of Uhuru Kenyatta to parliament in 2001 despite the incumbent at that time coming with tough conditions.

“I had a rough time with Mark Too, persuading him and he gave me a list of conditions, and i explained to both Former President Moi and Uhuru, that is how far back i go” he narrated.

Contrary to the allegations and what many Kenyans believe, the Deputy President William Ruto has confirmed his allegiance and support with the head of state is still uncompromised.

“If there is any politician who give respect and support to Uhuru there will be no other than William Ruto” said William.

The Deputy President finally accepted that there is misunderstanding within the Jubilee party but assured Kenyans that the mess will be fixed soonest time possible.
