WAJIR- A section of elders from wajir county have urged the national government to strenghten their efforts in the fight against Al- shabab in order to restore peace and stability in the region.

Speaking during a consultative conference for peace and countering- violent terrorism at the county commissioner’s residence, the elders said that the government should show the same efforts they had executed in fighting the desert locust that have invaded the region.

”Desert locust have invaded our town, they were destroyed, why can’t you do the same to Al- shabab?”asked an elder.
