22 Counties have zero in the Top 100 list Nationally
In the recently released 2019 KCPE results where the top student scored 440 marks, students from only 25 Counties have appeared in the Top 100 list leaving the other 22 Counties with no chance.
The 22 Counties who did not appear in the Top 100 include Wajir, Mandera ,Vihiga, west pokot, turkana, Tana Rivera , Siaya, Tharaka nithi, Samburu and nyandarua.
Others are: Narok, Marsabit, Lamu, Garissa, laikipia, kwale ,kitui, , Elgeyo Marakwet, embu, bomet.
Nakuru and Nairobi Counties appeared Top in the 100 best students nationally.
Nakuru have 17 students in the list, Nairobi 17 students, Bungoma 1, Kajiado 13, Baringo 1 Kiambu 9, Kakamega 6 , Uasin Gishu 4, Makueni 1, Homa Bay 2, Kilifi 2, Mombasa 1, migori 1, Busia 1, Kirinyaga 1, Nyamira 1, Nyeri 2 , meru 3 , kericho 3 , Muranga 3, Machakos 2 , Kisumu 2 , Trans Nzoia 1 and Nandi 4.
According to KNEC , the number of students who scored 301-400 is 243 320 while those who scored 0- 101 are 1,173. All students to know their high schools by 2, 2019.
