The Kenya Army book will be out on December 16, 2019 – Kenya Defense Forces
President Kenyatta has on Friday launched the Kenya Army book titled “The Soldier’s legacy” while in Garissa for the official opening of Modika military barracks.
The book is a detailed institutional memoir of the mandate, form, activities and achievements of Kenya Military. It will also discuss details of military duty in line with Kenya Army that was not showcased to the public before.
According to Kenya Defense Forces, the book will also shed more lights on the correct definition of a military officer, his/her skills and education, and the values that underpin the Kenyan army.
“This book defines who a soldier is, what makes a professional soldier and the values that underpin the Kenya Army.” Kenya Army wrote on their official Facebook page.
The Forces have also confirmed that the book will be on the shelves of all the leading bookshops countrywide with effect from Monday, 16 December 2019.

President Kenyatta was in Garissa County yesterday to inaugurate 50MW Solar Power plant in Raya, a small town located few kilometers outside Garissa town. Later, the President officially opened the Modika Military barracks which was relocated from Garissa town following a Court order.
