Khalwale Chased out of Kibra by rowdy youths

On Thursday morning, former Kakamega senator Boni khalwale was seen in Kibra, laini saba ward walking hurriedly alongside his supporters.

Khalwale, who was walking without a bodyguard, was attacked by rowdy youth, throwing stones and hurled insults at him. His supporters were seen protecting him against the angry youth.

The youth who are supporters of Imran Okoth suspect khalwale of bribery.

The rowdy residents are also heard shouting ‘Kibra ni yetu’ as they run after him, no injuries reported.

The former Senator is believed to be a member of the tangatanga brigade, a group of leaders allied to the DP who were campaigning for Jubilee Candidate McDonald Mariga.

Earlier , supporters of both camps engaged in fracas after a man was caught bribing voters. The source of the money is still not clear, however, the curls was contained .

In reaction to the bribery, Rt Hon. Raila Odinga, warned the people of Kibra against corrupt individuals and advised them to vote wisely.

The residents of Kibra on Thursday 7 November flocked to their respective polling stations to elect their preferred Member of Parliament. The mini-poll comes after the death of the Former area MP, Ken Okoth who succumbed to cancer.
