Nominated MP, Nasri Sahal has promised to support some of the needy students who scored exemplary marks in the recently released KCPE results.
While speaking to the media, Nasri said she will help atleast five bright needy students to form four (4). Sahal also said helping students to pursue their dreams is one among her top agendas adding that she is currently paying the fees of a student from northeastern who is pursuing Medicine and surgery in one of the Universities in China.
” i want to tell parents whose students have scored exemplary marks in 2019 KCPE that i will sponsor 4-5 bright Needy students because investing in our kids is investing in the future of our nation” Nasri Said.
The lawmaker also clarified that she will support the students out of her pocket since she has no allocated budget in terms of NG-CDF neither NGAAF.
” i don’t receive funds like elected MPs and Women Reps but am contented with what i receive in terms of salary and i promise to support where i can” She clarified.
The nominated MP also expressed her gratitude to the youth of Wajir for believing in her and promising to welcome Inua Mama brigade in style.
” am extremely happy today to meet with the youth of wajir, we have discussed several issues including the impending Inua mama visit and they all promised to welcome the team” said the MP.
Ms. Sahal also warned individuals who are circulating fake news about Inua Mama programs arguing that all the funds come from contributions among the women legislatures in the team.
” i want to inform Kenyans that the money we use in Inua Mama programs is purely contributions amongst ourselves , we are 40 women leaders and each contribute Ksh.100,000 monthly which totals to 4million.” Sahal argued.
The Inua mama team is set to visit Wajir County on 29th this month.
