
Action for Transparency Organisation has awarded Director of Public prosecution Noordin Hajji in his effort of fighting graft amid the ongoing crackdown on corrupt officials in the country which caught the attention of the public and international agencies.
The Director of Public Prosecution was awarded with the integrity leadership award for his dedication in fighting corrupt individuals within the Government and all other Sectors.
” DPP Noordin Haji has received the 2019 Leadership Integrity Award from @a4tkenya for his integrity, exemplary leadership & strategic direction for his office.
He dedicated it to the .@ODPP_KE staff saying it was as a result of team effort that he was awarded” reads a post on ODPP -KE Twitter handle.

Hajji worked at the office of the Attorney General and National intelligence service before joining ODPP. He joined the ODPP April, 2018 after Keriako Tobico.
Among the big cases he is pursuing are the arrest of Nairobi Governor mike Sonko, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Kimwarer and Aror Scandals which led to the resignation of the former CS treasury Henry Rotich and his PS Dr Kamau Thung’e.
Others who were also awarded include Activist Omkiyo omtatah who was also awarded for his effort in defending the constitution of Kenya at times when individuals try to dictate it on their favor. Former Attorney General Edward Ouko was also recognised in his etiquette and ideal leadership he portrayed during his tenure.
