Adan Keynan: I will work with Ruto Government for the sake of development

WAJIR: Eldas MP Adan Wehliye has explained why he, despite being a member of the Azimio La Umoja Coalition decided to work with President William Samoei Ruto led Kenya Kwanza Government.

He said he vigorously campaigned for Raila Odinga in the last general election.

Speaking while attending a parent day ceremony held at Eldas Boys Seconday School where he was the chief guest, the legislature has said that in the last 2022 campaign, no one imagined that the current President will emerge victorious.

“Who ever thought that William Ruto will be the President of Kenya, said Keynan.

The MP has said that he has now forged ahead and decided to work with the current Government in order to deliver on his campaign pledges.

“Campaigns are now over and it is time for Development, and whether you like it or not, William Ruto is the President, added Kenyan  adde Keynan.

Keynan was elected on a Jubilee Party ticket in the last 2022 elections.

Eldas MP Kenyan who is the PG for Jubilee Coalition has recently been advocating for the exit of Jubilee Party from Azimio Coalition citing what he deacribed as ‘insincerity’ and conmanship behaviours metted against Jubilee MPs by Azimio top organ.

On Wednesday, last week, Adan Keynan was among the MPs who voted in favour of the Finance bill 2023 tabled in Parliament.

Initially, Keynan publicly supported the bill that seeks to propose new tax measures saying that it was time to make hard decisions for the betterment of the country.

“Because of the fear of the unknown, we have stagnated and lost our stature as an economic hub, it is our turn to say that this country requires development, said Keynan.
