
Suspected Al-shabab militants have on Monday early morning killed three teachers after they attacked a school in Kamuthe area, Garissa County.
According to police, the gunmen attacked Kamuthe Resource Centre early Monday morning killing three male teachers.
North Eastern Regional Police Commander Paul Soi who also commented about the attack said the militants were targeting a police camp and safaricom mast though they managed to destroy part of the mast.
Unconfirmed reports reveals that all the victims were non- local teachers though the Regional Commissioner said they are yet to receive the correct information since the investigation is still on.
” we are still carrying out investigations, security officers are currently in the area and we are still gathering information on what happened,” he said.
Cases of Al-shabaab militants targeting teachers, civilians and safaricom mast are on the rise.
Last week, Al-shabaab militants killed four students and left several injuries after they attacked a police post in Saretho area of Dadaab, Garissa County.
