Days after king Kaka’s new poetic song release went viral, women leaders have expressed their displeasure and vowed to seek legal redress shall king kaka fail to pull down the song from all the social sites.
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru was among the women leaders who felt the heat deeply after the rapper mentioned the NYS scandal in his new release in which she was involved while serving as Devolution Cabinet Secretary in 2015.
Waiguru has now threatened to sue King Kaka if he fails to withdraw and delete the song from all the sites.
Many kenyans including Senior Council Ahmednasir Abdullahi and Former Kirinyaga gubernatorial aspirant Martha Karua have responded to the threats and expressed their willingness to represent King Kaka in Court should Waiguru sue him.
Ahmednasir said in a tweet that the NYS scandal is still a matter of public interest and those kenyans who wish to comment about it must not be threatened.
“I said and I repeat..I will give legal representation to @RabbitTheKing against ANYONE who sues him for the lyric #Wajinganyiyi .I’m of the considered view that no one amongst the ruling elites or the masses was defamed. UGLY, CRASS and LEWD commentaries on soceity are PRIVILEGED” Ahmednasir wrote on Twitter.
The rapper’s song touched corruption, corrupt politicians and how leaders betray their electorate after they rise to power.
Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua also requested other kenyans to mobilize defense fund for the rapper and added that she will represent him if the need arises.
“Lets mobilize for his defense fund @bonifacemwangi But i am available to assist should it be necessary.” Karua replied to a tweet requesting her to help King Kaka.
Other women leaders who come out with guns blazing and accused King Kaka of selectively targeting a group of leaders in his song while leaving others include Nairobi women Rep Esther pasaris, Fatuma Gedi of Wajir and their Kwale Counterpart Zuleikha Juma Hassan.
